Very rare figure made of yellow cast metal. The type can be traced back to at least the 16th century, although the use of the non-free-standing figure remains unclear.
The gender is equally unclear. Jewellery on the ankles, upper arms and neck, hip chains and small buds suggesting breasts indicate a young girl. The same applies to the hairstyle, which is formulated in two ways in place of the ears. This stands in strange contrast to the goatee.
At this point, as with some other figures acquired by the gallery in the 2020s, it is not the ethnological interpretation, which may be supplemented by further information, but rather the artistic elaboration in connection with age that is important. Added to this is the good state of preservation. In the case of this figure, the overall appearance is not marred by a corroded area on the back of the head. Its value is determined by its rarity.
